There will be changes in public transport traffic on May 31 during    "Elkor Riga Cycling Marathon 2015" and "Mārupe 2015" run

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that there will be changes in public transport traffic and some public transport stops will be closed from 9:00 to around 16:00 of May 31 due to "Elkor Riga Cycling Marathon 2015" and "Mārupe 2015" run. During the above period, those passengers who are using monthly tickets for the trolleybus and bus routes to be changed will be allowed to use these tickets on other bus, trolleybus and tram routes to reach the necessary destinations, without registering their trips.

Buses

Bus No. 10 will run from the city centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route. On the way to the city centre the bus will run by the route to K. Ulmaņa gatve, then in K. Ulmaņa gatve to the round-about place without reaching Mūkusalas rotation circle, then in K. Ulmaņa gatve to the ascent to Bauskas Street, then in Bauskas Street, Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras boulevard, across Akmens Bridge and further by the route. When running by the changed route, the bus will stop at the stops of buses No. 23 and 26.

As traffic in Ozolu Street in Jaunmārupe will be closed due to the contests of "Mārupe 2015" run, from 9:00 till 14:00 bus No. 10 will run in direction of Abrenes Street like bus No. 55, from the terminal along Mazcenu Avenue to Riga – Mārupe motor road P132 and further by the route of bus No. 10.

Bus No. 12 will run in direction of co-operative society „Ziedonis” by the route to Satekles Street, then in Satekles Street, (the bus will stop at the „13th January Street” stop of bus route No. 23), on 11th November Embankment, across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, in Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street, Buru Street, Jelgavas Street, Bauskas Street, Ziepniekkalna Street, Jāņa Čakstes gatve, Bauskas Street and further by the route. There will be no changes on this bus route in direction of the city centre.

Bus No. 23 will run from the city centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route to Ziepniekkalna Street, then in Ziepniekkalna Street, Jāņa Čakstes gatve, Bauskas Street and further by the route. On the way back to the city centre the bus will run by the route to motor road A7, then in motor road A7, Ziepniekkalna Street, Bauskas Street, then further by the route to Buru Street, then in Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge and further by the route.

Bus No. 26 will run from the city centre by the route to Akmens Bridge, then across Akmens Bridge, in Uzvaras Boulevard, in Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route. On the way back to the city centre the bus will run by the route to Buru Street, then in Jelgavas Street, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard, across Akmens Bridge and further by the route.

Buses No. 13, 37, 41 and 53 will run from Pārdaugava to the city centre across Vanšu Bridge without going to Ķīpsala. Public transport stop „Press House” will be transferred to the main line of the bridge.

During the Cycling Marathon, bus No. 57 will not stop at the „Press house” stop.

Trolleybuses

Trolleybus No. 5 will run from the Clinical hospital to Daugava stadium across Vanšu Bridge without going to Ķīpsala. Public transport stop „Press House” will be transferred to the main line of the bridge. There will be no changes in direction of Pārdaugava.

Trolleybus No. 12 will run from Āgenskalna priedes to Šmerlis across Vanšu Bridge without going to Ķīpsala. Public transport stop „Press House” will be transferred to the main line of the bridge. There will be no changes in direction of Pārdaugava.

Trolleybus No. 19 will run from Pētersalas Street to Ziepniekkalns and back across Salu Bridge, without going through Mūkusalas rotation circle (like bus No. 40). Trolleybus stop „Mūkusalas rotation circle” will be closed in direction of Ziepniekkalns, trolleybus stops „Road Administration” and „Salu Bridge” will be closed in direction of Pētersalas Street.

Trolleybus No. 24 will run from Pētersalas Street to JSC Dzintars and back across Salu Bridge, without going through Mūkusalas rotation circle (like bus No. 40). Trolleybus stop „Mūkusalas rotation circle” will be closed in direction of Mālu Street, but trolleybus stops „Road Administration” and „Salu Bridge” will be closed in direction of Pētersalas Street. 

Trolleybus No. 25 will run from Iļģuciems to Brīvības Street across Vanšu Bridge without going to Ķīpsala. Public transport stop „Press House” will be transferred to the main line of the bridge. There will be no changes in direction of Pārdaugava.

Trolleybus No. 27 will run from Ziepniekkalns to Railway Terminal Square by the route to trolleybus stop „Bieķensalas Street”, then in Jelgavas Street, Vienības gatve, Akmeņu Street, Valguma Street, Uzvaras Boulevard and across Akmens Bridge. From Railway Terminal Square to Ziepniekkalns the trolleybus will run across Akmens Bridge, then in Uzvaras Boulevard, Valguma Street, Akmeņu Street, Mūkusalas Street and further by the route.

During the Cycling Marathon public transport stops „Laivu Street”, „Celtniecības pasaule” and „Newspaper Diena” will be closed on the way to the city centre and public transport stop „National library” will be closed in both directions.
